King of Prussia, PA. October
12, 2005 - -ation, LLC and Chariot Solutions today announced
the formation of the Business and Technology Leadership Forum, an
exclusive community of business and IT leaders dedicated to increasing
business efficiency through peer-level sharing and roundtable discussion.
The forum, which will convene on a quarterly basis, allows local
leaders to collaborate on best-practice, real-world approaches and
take practical recommendations back to their own organizations.
"Unlike many organizations, the Forum it is not solely a business
or technology group Ç it is both,Ó said Vijay Khatnani, managing
director of -ation, LLC. ÏOur mission is to bring both types of
leaders together to share common issues, allowing those leaders
to gain a more comprehensive perspective and obtain practical implementation
and business improvement ideas.Ó
The ForumÌs first meeting, held September 15th focused on Centers
of Excellence (COEs). The meeting included a brief presentation
by Sun Microsystems followed by interactive discussion regarding
how COEs can increase efficiencies in hardware, software and business
processes.
The ForumÌs planned future topics include service-oriented architecture
and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
ÓWe all read about leading-edge technologies, business practices
and their theoretical benefits, but most leaders are more interested
in how those technologies and practices are being applied in real-life
settings,Ó said Tracey Welson-Rossman, vice president of business
development for Chariot Solutions. ÏThe Forum allows leaders to
learn whatÌs working for their peersÌ businesses and which technologies
and processes are truly making a difference.Ó
The Business and Technology Leadership Forum will hold its next
meeting Dec. 6, 2005.
Membership is open to persons in a leadership role tasked with the
responsibility of integrating business process and information technology
practices. Companies interested in participating may contact Vijay
Khatnani at 610-304-9913 or Tracey Welson-Rossman at 215-358-1780,
ext. 456 for further details and qualification criteria.
